Cheap Secured Personal Loan

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Steve_C_Clark]Steve C Clark The easiest and cheapest loans to acquire in the UK today are secured personal loans. On one hand it gets the borrower loans at rates it was not possible to think of just a couple of years ago and on the other it makes the lender comfortable in his own right since the invested amount is secured by means of a collateral and he can sleep more peacefully at night, secure in belief that the loaned amount can any day be recovered. If you were worried about your financial options, especially loans you should not do so if you can by any means secure it. Let us consider the scenario a bit more thoroughly here both from the lender's and the borrower's perspective. For a lender, the security of the money he is lending is of utmost importance. If the borrower declares him to be a bankrupt the next year when on a twenty year loan, there is not much that the lender can do and in all probabilities, he would lose a significant portion of his money. It would certainly spoil the credit record of the borrower and render him incapable of any loans in the future but that is little consolation for the lender who stands a chance to lose a fortune. That exactly is the reason unsecured loans are dearer. Also, the lender would make all kinds of inquiry in the borrower's past credentials and repayment capacity before going ahead with granting the loan. If in the same scenario, there is a collateral that can secure the loan, the lender is much more comfortable. He is now aware that under dire circumstance, the money can be easily reclaimed by liquidating the equity in the house. That is the reason, secured personal loans are cheap. From the borrower's perspective, he is mostly aware that the bad financial situation is a passing phase. With a little finance to pull him out of the mess, the situation would turn favorable in a short span of time. If there is some property he can place as a collateral, the personal loan would become very cheap for him. There is no logic for him to go for a loan with 4 to 5 percentage points higher for a 20 year repayment period if he is certain of an improvement in his state in the next couple of years. He would therefore, if at all possible try to go in for a cheap secured personal loan rather than a costly unsecured personal loan. Secured personal loans are available at far cheaper rates anywhere in the market. It is easily possible to find secured loans at rates lower than 9% if all other parameters are favorable. Also, the considerations before awarding such a loan are far less the credit history, the repayment ability are not questioned much and they become rather rudimentary. In contrast, the unsecured personal loans are much more costly and if other conditions are unfavorable, the rates you may have to shell out may be more than 13-14%. Under extreme circumstances of a bad credit history, such a loan may also be denied to the borrower and it may take long before you find a lender who is ready to trust you. The important thing for the borrower to consider is that the asset placed under the collateral is to good extents owned by the lender for the period of repayment if these are not made in time. So, it is all the more important to plan repayments and expenses well in advance and not falter on the terms and conditions. Also, in search of the cheapest rates, one must not sign on conditions which are not favorable as a borrower. Cheap secured personal loans are very easy to find and one must shop around to get the best deal available. To summarize, cheap secured personal loans are quite easy to find. These loans are granted against a collateral. To the lender, they give a peace of mind hedging the risk of their investment and to the borrower, it means sheer value in form of cheaper rates. Secured loans today are a good 4-5% cheaper than unsecured loans and also do not depend upon other parameters of the financial status of the borrower. If it is possible, you must always go for secured loans and plan your repayments well so that your asset remains secure too. Baby's Got Bling - You Can Package Anything

By JoAnn Hines Recently I've seen a host of new product introductions and I wondered who is going to buy that? But there are products out there for everyone. After reviewing the items I got thinking these are great examples of the "Power Of The Package" you know packaging as the silent salesperson. After all its the packaging that going to sway you or not to consider purchasing these products. When I read about Bling H20, I initially thought what a great marketing ploy but then I realized that primary target demographics: boomers and women would be the ideal audience. These groups have money to spend and are willing to spend it for the right products. The luxury consumable market is also on the rise and product are being created to meet the demand. (Ask me about DIVA vodka) People are willing to invest in themselves with a little luxury spending so why not luxury bottle water. For those of you that are unfamiliar with this product Bling H20 ($35 a bottle) is no ordinary water. It comes in a thin, tall, frosted glass bottle and each 750ml bottle is handcrafted, corked, and decorated with exquisite Swarovski Crystals. Wow what a concept! I love Swarovski Crystals anyway. If you want to see a picture I'll have it archived on my website shortly. Along with other products in the super luxury category comes this example. "ICE ROCKS are a secured ice cube product made from spring water for the luxury market." But its more that just high priced ice cubes. It touches us in other ways that are important such as product purity and security. They even touch the environmental button too with eco-friendly containers. "The ice cubes are made for savvy consumers who seek the same level of purity for the ice cubes they place in their favorite beverages. These cubes, to be consumed within two (2) years, are hermetically packaged in disposable, eco-friendly containers, providing the user with a complete guarantee with regard to hygiene and safety, while respecting the environment." Ready to buy some prepackaged ice? I had to finish with this one. Packaging Crap. Yes, you heard it you can package anything and sell it if you have the right marketing message in your product packaging. This is a direct quote "If the package looks pretty, people will buy just about anything. So says an advertising executive in New York, and he has proved his point by selling boxes of rubbish for the price of an expensive bottle of wine. Justin Gignac, 26, has offloaded almost 900 carefully presented plastic cubes of trash from the street of the Big Apple at between $50 (26) and $100 each. Buyers from 19 countries have paid for the souvenirs. The idea has been so successful that he is thinking of franchising it around the world." Yikes buying crap, my husband would love that one. He thinks all my packaging "examples" are crap too so maybe I should put them on Ebay. But to recap why and how packaging works as a sales tool. It sends a message to the consumer. Its up to you the product manufacturer to determine what that message will be and who the audience is. But whomever the demographic the package has an important role to play and its integral to building your brand. So what constitutes compelling packaging brand? How "connected" are you to your consumer? Here are a few emotion descriptors that your package must convey. Does your packaging Engage, Evoke, and Engross the consumer? Lets look first at ENGAGE: to attract and hold by influence or power. Can you say that about your product packaging? Or is your product packaging just the opposite? Boring!
Got any BLING in it? Think about what you can do to improve the odds that your package will engage a consumer: Colors, features, shapes, value and benefits are all ways to reach out with your package. Swarovski Crystals? EVOKE: To call forth or call up as in evoking memories. What about your package will make the consumer recall a successful or enjoyable product experience? How can you make them remember that they were satisfied in buying your product? In case they haven't purchased before, what is going to "connect" them to your product on your package? What is so special about your package that they have to take a closer look? ENGROSS: To engage the whole attention of (and that's the key point). You have to get their attention to pick up our product before they can even consider buying it. Use features that will capture their interest in seconds because that's all the time you are going to get before they move on. Another "feeling" word that conveys a strong and compelling brand is TRUST. You must create a place where people look for information and feel more secure doing so. It's important to understand the strength behind the brand and why people turn to it for a sense of security and information. So what about your product packaging conveys the experience that consumers can trust your brand? ICE ROCKS anyone? Regardless of the reason a consumer may be in the store or looking at your product, introduce them to a "lifestyle" experience . . . trust, security, necessity or even peace of mind. Your package presence needs to call out "Buy Me" because I provide the experience of all of the above emotions. Product branding is a powerful influence on everyone. Its important to understand the strength behind the brand and why people turn to it for a sense of happiness, satisfaction, security and information. The best of all brands cross gender, ethnicity and age demographics. That is to say that everyone will recognize and identify with the brand. When you capture the power of the package people will integrate your product into their everyday life. They will not just turn to it as a convenience but as a necessity for comfortable living. So create your own story through powerful product packaging. Whatever your category, you should strive to engage, evoke, and engross the consumer to revitalize your brand through product packaging. Just remember when you have BLING, You Can Package Anything. Don't wait until its too late. Make packaging your first thought--not your last. I get hundreds of inquiries a month asking how to package products. Most of the time, they are in crisis mode because they did not think about the package until crunch time. I just got a call from an entrepreneur whose packaging was a disaster. She never thought about the role packaging plays in her products success until her retailer said "NO WAY" to her product packaging. She had to start over. As a result, she lost a great deal of money in the process. To help others learn that lesson before it is too late, I have come up with a basic workshop offering education on packaging products to sell. Whether you are an entrepreneur, inventor, work from home mom, or a small business person with an idea or product it is imperative to understand the role packaging plays in a successful product launch. Packaging 101it is simple and offers the basics of what you need to know. The "Nuts and Bolts" of how product packaging works and "How To" of packaging.

Poker Calculators and the Art of Folding - Part 1

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Marty_Smith]Marty Smith I was in 6, $10+$1 qualifier tournaments just this week at party poker determined to play in The Sunday Million for the 3rd week in a row. They have 60 players in each qualifier, and 1st and 2nd get entries while 3rd, 4th, and 5th get some cash. My poker calculator of choice for MTTs is Holdem Pirate, but most will give you at least the basic odds for making the right decisions, at least mathematically. As it were, I placed in 4 of them, earning 2 entries (multiples are refunded in cash), and getting some extra cash in the other two. One tournament I did not place was the result of an ugly draw out by an inexperienced player. The other was a situation where I should have folded, but greed overcame me. Herein lies the beauty of using a poker calculator it will give you the power to fold, when you are so inclined to take advice. That one tournament, I wasnt. But here is a situation that arose in the other qualifiers where I seized the art of folding. Sitting to the left of a loose/aggressive in the early stages, Holdem Pirate VPIP rating had the maniac clocked at playing a full 80% of the pots! I picked up AQs at the cutoff where there had been an early position, 3XBB raise from a somewhat tight player. The player after him cool-called and then the maniac put in a minimum raise bringing it to 4X the blind. Then came my turn. I was surprised to see my poker calculator giving a decisive FOLD recommendation for AQs. As I pondered playing, that minimum re-raise concerned me as it gave the other 2 players the chance to come over the top of the maniac, while the maniac seemed to be inviting such a thing. I correctly discerned that there was going to be an all-in situation with at least two players. Had my poker calculator said call, I may have done so. AQs however, is a hand at this stage in the tourney where you do not want all your chips in the middle against 2 players. You are bound to be outdrawn even if you are ahead which you are probably not. There are so many online players that would have been right in the middle of this hand with AQs and OUT. The early position tight player had KK, while maniac called his all-in with A9suited, and hit a silly flop that ended up turning a 6-7-8-9-10 straight for him. When you got a guy like this at the table, best to be way ahead, otherwise let the others get frustrated and and you will see a lot of high card vs low pair show downs, all the while depleting the field. In the meantime, you can cuddle up with your poker calculator and practice the art of folding. Aptitude Tests Reveal the Difference Between Your Aptitude & Ability

By Roger Clark Aptitude tests measure your skills, abilities, values, interests and personality in order to help you determine which careers you might be best suited for and eliminate those that you are not. Aptitude tests are some of the most important tools to anyone considering a career change. Job satisfaction for individuals depends on several different factors. An increasing number of people now do not cite money as the most important factor in picking a career. Other factors of importance are if they like their workplace, if they enjoy the work they do, and if their work receives acknowledgment and acclaim Types of Aptitude Tests Free Tests Employers and the Career Aptitude Test More and more employers are also beginning to utilize aptitude tests in order to screen applicants because they also realize that the best candidate for their opening is the person who not only has the required experience but also complementing interests and aptitudes. Many major companies have realized the importance of assessing candidates. Do not be surprised if you end up taking one of these tests during your job interview. The tests help the employers figure out if candidates will be able to fit into the work environment at their company and if their personality traits are in collusion with the companys values and work code. Aptitude and Ability So, what is the difference between aptitude and ability? They sound alike, but are vastly different... An individual may have acquired the necessary experience in order to have an ability to complete a task, but not an aptitude for it. Aptitude refers to possessing more of a natural talent for a task, even if that talent is not yet fully developed. Why Take an Aptitude Test? Aptitude tests are beneficial for a number of reasons... Benefit #1 Aptitude tests can actually highlight areas of potential talent, in some cases, aptitudes the individual was not even aware of. Benefit #2 The results of the tests will not only help you set up a career plan, but also help you in your job search. You will be able to build a better resume and ace your interviews if you can clearly identify your skills, strengths and weaknesses. Benefit #3 They are also fantastic for assisting individuals who are considering making a career change but due to current responsibilities want to insure they are moving in the right direction before taking a risk. Benefit #4 A career aptitude test can also assist persons who are considering either starting college or adults who are returning to college. Tuition is far too costly to play trial and error with. It's much better to go into the classroom armed with the knowledge that you possess both the interest and the aptitude to succeed in your chosen career field. Life is far too precious to spend it in a career you thought would be a perfect fit... ... for you only to discover that there are aspects of it that make you miserable. Aptitude tests can help you eliminate the jobs you would be least suited for and discover those careers that are a perfect match for both your interests and your aptitudes. Identifying and understanding your particular career strengths can also assist you in fine tuning the resumes you utilize in your job search. This is important because research has shown that individuals who work in careers that complement their both their interests, abilities and work values are much more likely to be successful and satisfied. Your Kid is Online

By Alexandra Gamanenko Kids often start using the Internet at about the same age they go to primary school, or perhaps a bit later. If your son or daughter is new to the Web it means he or she is relatively young -- and you, a parent, are an indisputable authority. Your kid tries to imitate you, bombards you with questions, listens to your advice (and sometimes even follows them), asks you for help, appreciates your tutoring him. It's the best time to tutor your child how to avoid various online dangers. Kids and young teens can freely access the Internet from computers at school, at their friends' homes and in public places such as libraries and even from cell phones and video game consoles. Internet is everywhere, that is why kids and teenagers (and their parents, too) should be well aware of its perils and know how to avoid them. Searching and Surfing Kids and young teens are usually content with resources aimed at kids and teens and rarely look for more -- in case you don't make one mistake. Introducing these search engines to kids for the first time, dont contrast special search engines for kids and those which you use. Don't say that they are "clean" -- unlike those used by grown-ups. Don't just declare that dibdabdoo or Yahooligans are "cleaner" than Yahoo or Google. You'd better say that their search results on dibdabdoo will be more interesting. People who know what kids like and what they are looking for built these engines SPECIALLY for them -isn't it nice? You certainly will have to mention explicit sexual content, porn sites, gambling sites and other junk one can meet while surfing the Web. But please show no fear of it -- just disgust. And don't overwhelm your kids with plenty of negative info all at once. There are plenty of search engines and resources for kids. Here is just several links to look for them: http://www.ivyjoy.com/rayne/kidssearch.html http://www.kidinfo.com/Search_Engines.html http://www.searchability.com/children.htm Look for more links. A simple search will bring you plenty of information. Chats and Strangers Even before your kid reaches his teens, he or she will be actively mixing with other kids in chat rooms and probably will start a blog as well. It is YOU who must warn your son or daughter about the risk of posting private information for everybody (both good and bad people) to read. What kids and teens say in chat rooms, whom they communicate with and what they post on web logs and other public Internet places can get them into much more serious trouble than just viewing some inappropriate websites. These figures are taken from the telephone survey made by the Pew Internet and American Life Project:
81% of parents of online teens say that teens arent careful enough when giving out information about themselves online and 79% of online teens agree with this. Unfortunately, kids and teenagers carelessly post online their first and last names, postal addresses, phone numbers, pictures and give lots of personal information about themselves. It enables an online predator easily identify and find any of them. Unfortunately, sex predators teem in cyberspace. Sometimes they immediately start sexually explicit conversations with children in chat rooms. If a kid or a teen is forewarned and taught to end such a conversation immediately, he or she is relatively safe, except for moral damage from such a talk. But there are others. They gradually allure their future victims by attention, affection, kindness, and even gifts. These individuals usually devote much time, money, and energy to this process. They listen to and empathize with the problems of children. They are aware of the latest music, hobbies, and interests of children. Some time later this person may succeed in arranging a face-to-face meeting with the kid offline -- you can guess what for. What you can -- and should -- do for your kid not to become one of these victims? The most important is to maintain trust and mutual understanding in your family. Listen to your son or daughter. Encourage your kid tell you about his or her online acquaintances -- freely, without fear of being scolded or punished. There are simple rules any kid should learn by heart from the very beginning of his or her online experience: Don't believe everything you are told online, never reveal your name, age, birthday, nickname or any other personal information while chatting. Think twice before posting something personal in a blog, too. Should You Monitor Your Kid? To monitor or not to monitor kids online -- that's a question millions of parents face. On the one hand, software for monitoring kids' behavior in the Web and other computer activities is a relief for ever-busy Moms and Dads. On the other hand, parents should be very careful when relying on technology in uch a delicate matter as parental control. Should everybody who has a child apply software for monitoring his or her computer activity? Not just checking browsing history, but monitoring every keystroke the kid makes? Monitoring software isn't a panacea, though advertising sometimes tries to prove the opposite. My opinion is that monitoring software is a VERY "strong medicine". Like any medicine, it has its own side effects which can be worse than the disease. Any medicine, if overused, can do harm. Using monitoring software will be appropriate if you feel you are losing control of the situation, or have lost it already. Please think more than twice before you install such a program. It's always easier to prevent a problem. Do it in time. Drug Them and Send Them Out

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Randall_Stafford] Randall Stafford It was around 1986, when my son Lewis was diagnosed of having ADHD. I like using the term accused of having ADHD. I really disagree with anyone who goes this route to get the child to learn. Most of the time its the teachers of our children that does the diagnosing. Is this sane? Should we trust their opinion. Yep, if you dont like the way your child behaves you can take him or her to a doctor and chances are great that theyll be placed on Ritalin. ( I really hope this isnt true.) There are other reasons to take your child to a doctor. If by some chance you dont notice anything peculiar about your child, chances are your childs teacher has. This turns into a discussion on whether youre a fit parent of not. If you refuse to give you child the drug, some teachers have even threatened parents that they are abusing the childs educational and/or emotional needs. Most of everything Ive learned about this so called disease comes from reading horror stories. It was once stated by some of the older generation that children should be seen and not heard. Naturally I took it like a joke. Sometimes I wonder if it was a joke. Of course when you see a child on this drug, it appears to me that they are just seen, and not heard. I am just wondering if we are complying to the teachers wishes just so we can make it easier for the teacher to cope with so many elementary kids. Maybe at first thought, we dont even think about that. However if you were a teacher and you had a bunch of first graders its possible that youd want to drug them all. That is not the right thing to do. My son was a very happy child. He definitely want to play. It was a shock to him to go to school. It was also very exciting. As well as I thought I knew my own child, it was argued that he wasnt learning because he had ADHD. The teacher said she repeated kept him from going out to play just because he was disruptive. Let me diagnose this situation like I did then. Lewis wanted to play all the time. So when its time for him to play, they would not allow it. When all the other kids comes back in from recess, he is disruptive again. Hmmm, something is wrong with this picture. I suppose we should drug the little guy. Lewis was no longer an active participant in much of anything. He was a zombie. But oh, how happy the teacher was. Lewis was placed on Ritalin with a lot of pressure from the school. However, I hated it. I hated it more than anything I could think of. I constantly wondered what the drug was doing to him. I felt like I knew how he felt. I personally had my day taking speed while driving a truck. Before my son was born, I was told that speed will cause you to have heart problems, hair loss, and even weight loss. It may even rot your teeth out. It scared me then but my job wanted the load to get to the destination. I eventually quit that job just for that reason. It may not be caused by the drug, but my child eventually started doing things that should have been researched. It did not bother him one bit to get into trouble. He eventually hit the big time. He even went to jail at the age of 15. He pretty much stayed there till he was 18. He wasnt out long before he went right back in. It didnt appear to bother him much. I cant explain it. I have no words to explain it. He even repeatedly did drugs when he was out of jail. The bottom line is if you try to convince him that he is going down the wrong path, it appeared that he really didnt care. Maybe he was a zombie. Now, lucky for us, Lewis did not die. Hes not on that drug anymore and he is out of jail and doing fine with a wife and child of his own. In my own opinion, I dont feel like this drug should ever be given to a child. I am sure that a lot of teachers and mothers will disagree. Last, I dont think the analysis of a child having this disease is accurate. I believe its just an opinion. If you have a child on Ritalin, or if your child is diagnosed with ADHD, it is best you learn everything you can about the drug, the risks involved and the procedure for diagnosing the disease. Frankly, I dont believe its a disease at all. How can we win the war on drugs when we shove them down our own kids before they even know what a drug is. Kids die because of this drug. Everything youve read is JUST my opinion and I will not claim or accept any responsibility for you doing something based on this article. It is for your entertainment only. Randall Stafford
